The Canon Rebel XTi is my first digital SLR, and I used it for about three months. I must admit that I was a bit 'skeptical about a new camera, but I have always liked Canon cameras since I used an ELAN II in high school. Two years ago I bought a Canon SD600 and I was satisfied. Canon Rebel SLR so far has not disappointed me yet. The Rebel XTi IS lens works miraclesmy shots. If you decided to do a Rebel XTi but have second thoughts, here are some advantages and disadvantages that can help you decide, hopefully.
Let's start with the battery life. The XSi battery life is amazing. I could have more than 5000 images and the battery went low only twice. The Live View function, contrary to what many think is not a substitute for point and shoot. For one, you can not use the Live View function in automatic mode that makesnot so easy to use for beginners. The feature is best suited for professionals who work as landscape photographers and those who study the PC because you can not use the camera for remote viewing.
With regard to image quality, I must say that I was successful in two shots in the studio and outdoors. When I was in the studio, I put the tungsten lights on the subject against a white background. The picture quality was great, perfect skin tones and verylittle chromatic aberration at the edges. I had accounts in only recently, and I was thinking close-ups of the bees is a good way to test the quality of outdoor scenes. I was not disappointed. At all. The camera captures the sharpest details, even if the lens is a bit 'short. The pictures turned out great, if the lens only costs $ 100.
All in all, the SLR camera Canon EOS solid, it feels sturdy, not too heavy nor too light, and fits right in your hand. If you are looking for a large camera and was not limited by budget, XSI is the way to go. The Rebel XTi is a bit 'too expensive for some people, the rules, but I say it's worth every penny and you test the quality of the photos. If you do not mind waiting a bit 'more you can expect the price to go to spend the money for extra lenses or accessories.
